The few days of holiday over Christmas and New Year's are meant to relax you, the hard-working employee. Rejuvenate, restore and the like. And most times, you, the hard-working employee, give in without trouble and do sweet fanny adams. Holidays are a chance to indulge your idleness, with Dom Perignon hangovers, sun burn and beach bats with touring Brazilian rugby teams. At least in Cape Town.
But this year... I wanted more. I wanted to visit all the places Winter stole from me in 2013 and to share all the places I got to enjoy with the people I enjoy.
First on my Holiday To-Do List was a return to a favourite of ours at Rhino Africa...

Walkabout
Babylonstoren is set on a 300-year-old working farm in the Drakenstein Valley between Franschhoek and Paarl. Surrounded by the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek Mountains, it is some 60 km from the city of Cape Town and a 45 min drive from Cape Town International Airport.
