A Tribute To Preston The Parrot

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.” - Anatole France

It is with great sadness that we say farewell today to our dear office pet and friend, David's beloved African Grey, Preston, who passed away over the weekend.

You might remember the feathered fella from our Meet The Team video. He even had a posting on our Meet The Team page alongside his owner.

Polly want a ball?

Preston will be remembered for his vivacious character (read: loud and messy). He was our Resident Evil, keeping us on our toes by swooping down on members of the team during work hours and onto other unsuspecting guests, like the milk man. It was just his way of welcoming you to our offices, his way of cheering us up during sense of humour failures.

If that didn't work, he'd dance for us. It was in his genes. He would shake his sexy red tail feathers to the hiphop tunes on the radio and do the funky-chicken if we egged him on by dancing in front of him.

His cage was always open - it was his way of saying "mi casa es su casa".

Watch Preston's Film Debut:

Preston spent all of his time with David when not in the office and no one but David was allowed to touch him.

That's loyalty.
